| If you live in Plymouth and want
to burn your brush in the spring, you're likely to use
the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system that we developed for the Plymouth Fire
department. The system is simple, logging the applicant's
telephone request to burn on a particular day, and granting
the request if burning is allowed for the day and the
call is within the specified call-in hours.
This IVR is a real success, providing Plymouth residents
with approval services while reducing the workload of
the firefighting staff.
Working with a local dentist, we
developed an Interactive Voice Response system that allows
patients to make a dentist appointment 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. The system was designed to be usable
without any training...the patient simply listens to the
available time-slots and makes an appointment over the
telephone by pressing the pound (#) sign on the telephone
keypad.
The IVR system is easy to use, and has brought in numerous
new patients for our dentist client. |
